How we work

 
STEP 1
Idea

At the base of a future project is your idea about a product. If this is not yet a specific form, then Reobijn has an extensive network of agencies in industrial design, they monitor design and functionality right from the start, while Reobijn monitors the manufacturability of your future product. If you already have extensive information such as CAD files or proto types, then we will process this in our advice.

Program of requirements

Together with you a program of requirement will be appointed, listing all conceivable aspects to  your product must meet.

Advice

Based on all collected information Reobijn brings you (at any stage) an advice on the most optimal design an production possibilities where costs, functionality and design are monitored.

Concept

Based on the various requirements different concepts can be worked out. Our engineers will advice you about the different subjects:

  • plastics and possible additives (e.g. glass or mineral filled, UL94 listing, etc)
  • wall thickness, tolerances, locations of injections points
  • mould construction; one or more cavities, type of injection system
  • production method (e.g. one or plural injection moulding)

Processing

Once the final concept has been choosen, a mouldflow-simulation will help to judge the feasibility of a product in combination with the mould design. There even may be predictions about the product, mould design, production as well as the product quality. To avoid risks in the future the FMEA method (potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is applied.

STEP 6
Prototype

During the various phases within a project it is possible to manufacture prototypes according to various methods. You will have the opportunity to visually asses a 3D model, as well as the fitting and interfacing with other components or even to test the functionality of the product. If a design freeze is agreed, the production phase of a test mould or production mould will follow. Reobijn has an extensive network of mould makers and guides the entire process: from assessing the mould drawing to the transfer and release of the mould to our production department. The project is closed by a formal release of the product.
